• I am looking for any information on my PRENTICE line. This line was supposed to have been started by one GOODE PRENTICE who came to Cambridge, Massachusetts sometime before 1793. My G-G-Grandfather was born in Massachusetts o/ a 1793-1797. He had the very unusual masculine forname of ELA. I don't have a correct pronounciation of the name, but since my grandfather was also named ELA, but refused to use the name, I suspect that it was probably pronounced like the feminine ELLA. ELA was probably the son, or grandson of the first Prentice. GOODE PRENTICE. I am trying to find out where GOODE came from, and who he married. I have my genealogy fairly well documented, up to the 1831 marriage of ELA to SUSAN DAVIS. So far I have not been able to find out where, exactly, was ELA born, and who were his parents Anyone who has any information on GOODE or ELA PRENTICE, please contact me. kadonna@networld. com Thank You
