1831 News Item
By Linus Joseph Dewald Jr., Editor
Spring 1998 and Revised 7 Oct 2008
(This is a reprint of an article in our Spring '95 Issue.)
We swear we are not making this up! It is an article which appeared in the "Broom County Republican" in Binghamton, NY. It was on a photocopy of a page sent to us containing PRENTICE information and appeared in an adjoining column..
The article reads as follows:
"Bath, Steubens County, NY, 1831: Moses Alexander, aged 93, married Mrs. Tompkins, age 103. They were both taken out of bed, dead, the following morning."
No cause of death was stated, but we know why.
