 In the name of God amen
  I Edward Kibbe of Somers in Tolland County and State of Connecticut being of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say. I will that all my Lawfull Debts and funeral Charges be paid and discharged out of my Estate by my Executor herein after named
Item 1st I give and bequeath to my Daughter Hannah Kibbe two Hundred Dollars out of my Estate to be paid by my said executor two years after my decease and I further Will that my said Daughter have a providing in my Dwelling house to Live in to do all her necessary work with a providing in the well for water and in the gardin [sic] for same and in the orchard for apples and cyder for her personal use During her natural life.
Item 2I give and bequeath to my son Edward Kibbe twenty Dollars in addition to what he hath already received two years after my decease
Item 3I give and bequeath to my Daughter Bulah [sic] Pease five Dollars within two years after my decease
Item 4thI will and bequeath to my son Luke Kibbe forty Dollars two years after my decease
Item 5I give and bequeath to my Daughter Lovina Kibbe forty Dollars two years after my Decease all the above sums to be paid by my executor out of my Estate
Item 6thI will and bequeath to my son Alford [sic] Kibbe all the remainder of my Estate both real and Personal Except the property at New Lebanon to be Equally Divided after my decease Reserving my soport [sic] while I shall liv [sic] out of said Estate I make and constitute Amariah Kibbe ye Executor of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of April in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.

Note 1: Given the children's names, this must be the will of Edward5 Kibbe (1746-1826), son of Israel4 (Edward3, Elisha2, Edward1). See D.P. Hanna's Kibbe genealogy, 1972, p. 50.

Note 2: The named executor is believed to be "General" Amariah Kibbe (1780-1840). It is presumed that he retained the copy of the will which, upon his death, passed (with other memorabilia) to his son, James Monroe Kibbe, and then to granddaughter Anna (Kibbe) Kibbe, great granddaughter Mabel (Kibbe) Fuller, and great great granddaughter Charlotte (Fuller) Stewart.
